I have been making art my whole life, for most of it on paper and canvas. I got tattooed for the first time right before I turned 21; I was back for my second one in less than two weeks, and the third followed just as quickly. It wasn’t too long before I realized I wanted to make the wonderful world of tattooing part of my everyday. It was the hardest most rewarding thing I have ever done. I started my career as a counter girl, and from there got my start tattooing, my first few years when I was learning, I was lucky enough to get to spend time tattooing in several shops around the country with many talented artists. After that I found a home at Steve’s Tattoo and spent three years working in the Madison and Oshkosh locations. This is truly the place I came into my own. While working there I met another incredibly talented artist (Steven Anderson) and together we bring you 920 Tattoo Company, where we hope to spend many years making beautiful tattoos for the Oshkosh community and surrounding areas.
I am now 30 and have now been tattooing for four years and loving every minute of it. I am able to work with many motifs and styles. I especially enjoy organic motifs, such as, flowers, plants, trees, insects, and birds. I also really like the traditional Japanese aesthetics and borrow from them.
My goals as a tattoo artist and person are simple, I don’t want to be a rock star, I want to do something I enjoy doing everyday, and make tattoos that make the wearer and myself proud.
